Keeping the Little in Your Girl

Keeping the Little in Your Girl by Dannah Gresh

After devouring The Help on our spring break ski vacation in March 2011, I chose this non-fiction easy read to round out the week. If you are raising a young girl or tween amidst today’s fast-paced technology and societal pressures, I recommend this book. Dannah Gresh is the founder of Pure Freedom and Secret Keeper Girl, mom/tween seminars addressing modest dress, healthy friendships, and above all, their identity rooted in Christ. My daughter and I enjoy her tween Bible studies and mom/daughter dates that relate to specific topis within the studies. Most of her books are geared toward the daughter, but this book is geared toward moms and gives permission to go against the grain of society and parent our girls’ choices by modeling a higher standard for them.
