Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
Here’s another book that came highly recommended and I kept moving it to the bottom of my reading list. Why oh why? This fictional account of a Jewish family living in France under Hitler’s reign and a modern-day journalist’s research into her family’s unexpected connection make this book a page turner and, now, a full-length motion picture. Hitler never apologized for his beliefs and actions, but the journalist creates strife in her own family when seeking answers and senses a cover-up of sorts. She feels closer to a family she never met than her own and faces difficult decisions if justice is to be served.
